"In this session you will fill your toolbox with apps, add-ons and extensions for the elementary classroom. We will be comparing same type of apps to see what one is best suited for your classroom situation. This session will look at how to include Chromebooks in your primary classroom - from first through fifth grade. Learn tips on how to use Chromebooks to teach technology, content areas, fitness and PE, or support learners with special needs. Come explore many ways you can use Chrome devices to engage your young learners.

Student created videos can be a great way to demonstrate learning. This type of student-centered activity used to require the installation of software onto a device. That is no longer the case with WeVideo; an internet-based video editor accessible through a Chromebook and a Google account. The video editor allows you to create quality videos by uploading media, cutting the video, adding transitions, adding text and music, and exporting into a variety of places including YouTube. A user can create up to 2 minutes of video for free each month or more with a paid account.

Use Form Publisher with Google Forms to Improve Efficiency
"Form Publisher is a free add-on for Google Forms that will automatically generate a Google Doc based on a template you have created. The add-on is triggered when a new form is submitted. It enters the form responses into a doc and places that doc into a specified folder in your Drive.
